2nd Edition — New Tradition with an Old Cause
The Enztown Festival is a direct continuation of the former "Rock gegen Rechts" (Rock Against Right) festival in Bietigheim-Bissingen: In 2025, it was relaunched under a new name and under the auspices of Kulturinitiative Enztown e.V. — as an open-air festival with a clear political stance. 2026 marks the second edition. The festival remains true to its values: solidarity, diversity, standing together against right-wing extremist ideology. It is explicitly non-commercial, organized by volunteers, and free to attend.
Spicy Roots, Limanja, Kabinett, Der Ganze Rest
The 2026 program showcases the breadth: Spicy Roots (Schwieberdingen) bring Third Wave Ska with brass section and energy. Limanja (Ludwigsburg) combines Anatolian soundscapes with groovy rock — a tribute to the German-Turkish music scene of the Ludwigsburg-Stuttgart region. Kabinett (Mannheim) represents indie rock between melody and hardness. Der Ganze Rest (Ludwigsburg/Stuttgart) is clearly positioned anti-fascist punk. In addition, there will be the winner of the Newcomer Festival on April 18, 2026 — a preliminary round where local bands can qualify for a festival appearance.
Wiesental Bissingen — Open Air in the Green
The festival takes place in Wiesental, a green area in the Bissingen district of Bietigheim-Bissingen. Its location between the Enz river meadows and the outskirts offers ideal open-air conditions: meadows for picnic blankets, trees for shade, a central stage. Food trucks, drink stands, and information booths from regional initiatives (against racism, for the environment, local self-help) complement the program. The festival sees itself as a meeting place — music plus conversation plus political solidarity.
Bietigheim-Bissingen in the Ludwigsburg District
Bietigheim-Bissingen is a town of just under 43,000 inhabitants in the Ludwigsburg district, formed in 1975 from the merger of the towns of Bietigheim and Bissingen. The town is known for its old town with half-timbered houses, its railway viaducts, and the Mercedes-Benz plant in Bissingen. The Enztown Festival uses the town as its stage — the name "Enztown" combines its location on the Enz river with a tongue-in-cheek indie self-image.
