2nd Emden Spring Festival

Second Edition of a Young Format

The Emden Spring Festival is a new event format that first took place in 2025 and is now entering its second edition in 2026. It fills a gap in the event calendar between the Easter Market and the May Market, offering East Frisian direct marketers an additional spring platform. The collaboration between agricultural sponsorship (Agricultural Association for Ostfriesland) and municipal economic participation (Emden Economic Development Agency and City Marketing) ensures the professional and communicative quality of the festival.

Regional Products in Focus

The Spring Festival centers on the presentation of regional products: fresh food directly from producers (vegetables, herbs, eggs, cheese, honey, sausage), floristry with spring flowers and seedlings, crafts from East Frisian production, and specialties like East Frisian tea, cream cakes, and beans. The exhibitors are primarily East Frisian businesses.

Extended Spring Weekend

A special attraction is the combination with the Oldtimer and US Car Meet on the following day (April 12, 2026). While the Spring Festival on Saturday shapes the city center with a market character, the classic cars take center stage on Sunday. Both events create an attractive spring kickoff for Emden's city center.

Atmosphere and Admission

The festival runs on Saturday from approximately 10 AM to 4 PM and admission is free. The atmosphere is calmer and more market-oriented than at large folk festivals (Volksfeste) – the focus is on meeting the producers, tasting seasonal products, and enjoying the spring ambiance in the city center.
