Schlosswiesen Schöningen as a Meeting Point

The Schlosswiesen are located directly behind Schöningen Castle and offer a spacious, level green area with a unique view of the historic castle complex. This location is hard to beat for a vintage car meeting: plenty of space, beautiful scenery, good accessibility, accessible.

Vintage Cars of All Eras

Classic vehicles of all eras are welcome at ElmDrive — from pre-war cars to post-war classics of the 50s and 60s, sports cars of the 70s and 80s, to youngtimers from the 90s and early 2000s. Motorcycles, tractors, and special vehicles complete the picture.

Guided Tour in the Morning

Before the actual meeting, a guided tour through the scenic Helmstedt region and over the Elm starts at 10 AM. The route leads through picturesque villages and along winding country roads. Advance registration via elmdriver.de is required, and the number of participants is limited.

Meeting from 11 AM

From 11 AM, the Schlosswiesen will fill up with vintage cars. Visitors stroll among the vehicles, chat with car owners, and discover automotive rarities. A modern reception area for vehicles, catering, and seating make for a relaxed day.

Accessible and Family-Friendly

The meeting is explicitly accessible. Families will find activities for children that make the day interesting even without deep vintage car knowledge.

Tradition Since 2017

With its 9th edition, ElmDrive 2026 looks back on almost a decade of tradition. The Elmdriver Schöningen association has developed the meeting from a small local event into a regionally recognized date. Annually on the 3rd Sunday in June — the date is firmly anchored in the calendars of many vintage car enthusiasts.
