About Dürpelfest
Dürpelfest — edition 2026
Dürpelfest 2026 with New Area
From May 29th to 31st, 2026, the OWG will once again animate Düsseldorfer Straße and the adjacent side streets with five stages and around 100 stalls. The program axes remain — Rock, Soul, Blues, and Reggae — complemented by acoustic sets and DJ programs in the late evening.
The program highlight for 2026 is the newly introduced Cow Club & Waldmeister area at the intersection "Spinne" / Lennestraße. This expands the previous festival radius to the west, reflecting the success of recent years and the festival's growth.

Festival Mile in Western Solingen
For years, the Dürpelfest has been the major district festival of western Solingen. From May 29th to 31st, 2026, Düsseldorfer Straße and its side streets will transform into a continuous festival and stage mile. The Ohligser Werbe- und Interessgemeinschaft e.V. (OWG), which organizes the retailers, restaurateurs, and service providers of Ohligs, is responsible. The festival is one of the largest free open-air events in the Bergisches Land.
Five Live Stages, 100 Stalls
A characteristic of the Dürpelfest is its focus on live music. Five stages are spread along Düsseldorfer Straße and in the side streets — each with its own profile. Rock, Soul, Blues, and Reggae form the stylistic axes, complemented by acoustic acts and DJ sets. More than 100 stalls — gastronomy, clubs, retailers, action stands — ensure commercial and social density.
New Cow Club & Waldmeister Area 2026
The new program highlight for 2026 is an additional area at the intersection "Spinne" / Lennestraße. Cow Club and Waldmeister, two well-known gastronomy brands in Solingen, will jointly manage the area with their own concept. This expands the previous festival radius to the west — a response to the event's growth in recent years.
OWG as the Organizing Association
The Ohligser Werbe- und Interessgemeinschaft e.V. (OWG) has been the central district organization in Ohligs for decades. The Dürpelfest is its most important annual event, supplemented by the Advent festival and smaller action days. The flyer with the detailed program for 2026 — including band names and stage times — is available for download on owg-ohligs.de.
Solingen-Ohligs in the Bergisches Land
Ohligs has been a district of Solingen since 1929 but has retained its own distinct character — its own pedestrian zone, its own main train station (Bahnhof Solingen Hbf), its own club scene. With the Dürpelfest, the district presents itself every year at the end of May as the urban and vibrant western wing of the 'Klingenstadt' (City of Blades).
