Dorffest Queidersbach

The Dorffest Queidersbach is the annual summer festival of the Palatinate municipality of Queidersbach in the Kaiserslautern district, located in the middle of the Palatinate Forest Nature Park. From August 7 to 9, 2026, the three-day festival will be celebrated on the village square, bringing together locals, summer guests, and hikers.

Queidersbach in the Palatinate Forest

Queidersbach is located in the southwestern Palatinate Forest, between Landstuhl and Trippstadt. The municipality is the starting point for extensive hiking tours and is home to around 3,000 inhabitants. Its location by the forest shapes the identity of the place as much as its active club life.

Village Festival Tradition

For decades, the Dorffest has been the social highlight of the summer. It is supported by the local clubs: the sports club, fire department, music club, women's association, and church community provide catering, programming, and setup. The village square becomes the stage, beer benches are set up, a stage is erected, and for three days the community celebrates together.

Palatinate Catering

The menu features Palatinate classics: Saumagen (pig's stomach stuffed with pork), Bratwurst (fried sausage), Leberknödel (liver dumplings), Schwenkbraten (grilled pork neck), Pommes (fries), and Schmalzgebäck (lard pastry). This is accompanied by draft beer and Palatinate wine. On Sunday afternoon, the women of the parish serve coffee and homemade cake.

Live Music and Dance

In the evenings, Palatinate bands, cover groups, and DJs provide the atmosphere on the dance floor. The program ranges from Palatinate dialect music and Schlager to rock and party hits – a deliberately broad offering for all generations.

Family Sunday

Sunday is dedicated to the family: Frühschoppen with brass music in the morning, Palatinate lunch, children's program with a carousel, face painting, and interactive games in the afternoon, plus coffee and cake. A typical Palatinate Family Sunday, where several generations come together.

Social Significance

For Queidersbach, the Dorffest is an important date in the annual calendar: former residents return, families plan reunions, and the festival strengthens the community spirit among the clubs.
