A Düsseldorf Band Says Goodbye
In their fifth decade since formation, Die Toten Hosen announced the tour „Trink aus! Wir müssen gehen" in 2025 — the Düsseldorf punk band's last major stadium and open-air concert series. Stuttgart is one of the few stops where the band will perform — on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the Cannstatter Wasen, the famous festival grounds in Stuttgart's Bad Cannstatt district.
Open Air at Cannstatter Wasen
The Cannstatter Wasen in Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt (postal code 70372) is one of the largest festival grounds in Southern Germany — primarily known as the venue for the Cannstatter Volksfest and the Spring Festival. In summer, the expansive area between Mercedesstraße and the Neckar river serves as an open-air concert venue for major tours — previously hosting Iron Maiden, AC/DC, and Cro. The organizer is in.Stuttgart Veranstaltungsgesellschaft in cooperation with tour promoter JKP.
Support Bands from Three Countries
Three bands will perform as support, complementing Die Toten Hosen's punk and rock profile:
- Feine Sahne Fischfilet — the Rostock-based punk rock band around Jan „Monchi" Gorkow, one of the most vocal political voices in the German scene. Their anti-right songs have resonated far beyond the punk scene in recent years.
- The Bar Stool Preachers — Ska-punk band from Brighton, England. Closest partners of Die Toten Hosen within the international punk network.
- Die Leftovers — as the opening act, newcomers from the German-speaking region.
„Trink aus! Wir müssen gehen" — A Farewell Tour with a Message
With the tour title, borrowed from a line in the Die Toten Hosen hit „Tage wie diese", the band publicly bid farewell to their major stage era in 2025. Campino, Andi, Breiti, Kuddel, and Vom have announced that this might be the last time they play stadium-sized venues — though not necessarily their last album. A mix of classics like „Hier kommt Alex", „Tage wie diese", and „Reisefieber", along with songs from their current material, is expected.
Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt — A Historic Setting
Bad Cannstatt is Stuttgart's most populous district and the oldest settlement area on the Neckar river (older than the city center). The Cannstatter Wasen is located directly between the Mercedes-Benz Arena, the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle, and the Neckar river — a well-connected open-air venue with subway access. Mercedesstraße 50 is the official address of the festival grounds, which are available for such concerts in June before the setup for the Volksfest.
