Annual grand dance show by the Astrid Löschen Dance School — two evenings with all dance classes
For many years, the Astrid Löschen Dance School has been a fixture in Emden's dance scene. The offerings range from classical ballroom dancing and modern styles like hip-hop, street dance, and show dance to children's and youth groups. “DIE SHOW” is the annual stage presentation of all these groups — an evening (or two evenings) where the school showcases its entire spectrum.
What makes “DIE SHOW” special is its intergenerational program design. Children from preschool age, as well as teenagers, adults, and seniors, perform on stage. Each group presents a choreography rehearsed specifically for the show. The audience experiences a cross-section of all dance styles taught at the school in two hours — from classic disco fox to urban-dynamic street dance performances.
“DIE SHOW” is produced with professional stage, lighting, and sound technology. The choreographies are prepared over months, costumes are made, and music arrangements are selected. The result is a semi-professional dance performance that is far more than just a club presentation.
To ensure that all families, friends, and dance fans can get tickets, the show is traditionally performed on two consecutive evenings. In 2026, these are Friday, November 20, and Saturday, November 21. Tickets will be offered in advance sale in good time due to high demand.
For many Emden families, “DIE SHOW” is a firmly scheduled event in their autumn calendar. It combines club life, family celebration, and a cultural evening into an atmospheric overall experience.
The 2026 edition once again promises a diverse dance program that showcases all age groups and styles from the dance school. With professional lighting and sound technology, the Festspielhaus becomes a grand dance stage. The exact program order and setlist will be communicated in advance.
The exact 2026 program will be published by the organizer in advance. The structure follows the proven key points:
