Germany's Largest Winegrowers' Festival — 18 Days of Palatinate Wine Culture with a Wine Village, Mirror Palace, Funfair, and Grand Winegrowers' Parade
The German Wine Harvest Festival in Neustadt an der Weinstraße is not just Germany's largest winegrowers' festival — it is a Palatinate festival institution with a history dating back to 1935 and 18 days of continuous festival operations throughout Neustadt's city center. The 2026 edition runs from Friday, September 25th to Sunday, October 12th.
The festival is structured as a mosaic of several parallel events, which together offer the most comprehensive Palatinate wine experience:
Within this framework, special events offer punctual highlights:
The opening on September 25th coincides with the coronation gala of the new German Wine Majesty — a festive combination of national wine policy and a Palatinate folk festival. Between the major special events, continuous festival operations continue in the Palatinate Wine Village and at the Mirror Palace — Palatinate wines, specialties, and atmosphere every day.
The 2026 edition comprises 18 festival days with a dense program calendar. The complete 2026 program will be published by the organizer in the summer and is already outlined in its central points in the official sources.
The event is part of the rich Palatinate festival culture, which attracts thousands of guests to the Neustadt an der Weinstraße region every year. The combination of wine culture, Palatinate hospitality, and established festival traditions forms the unmistakable identity of this Palatinate festival institution.
