Autumn Highlight in Danndorf

While the Schützenfest in June is Danndorf's summer highlight, the Herbstzauber is the social counterpart in autumn. Three festival days on the last weekend of September extend the outdoor season and bring the village community and guests together again before the days get shorter.

Festival Marquee and Live Music

The main evening programme takes place in the large festival marquee — with live bands, DJ sets, a dance evening, and catering. The fact that tickets are already available in advance indicates attractive acts or selected themed evenings. The marquee can accommodate several hundred guests and is the social centrepiece of the three days.

Autumn Market Offerings

During the day, the festival grounds offer autumnal market goods — from pumpkins to apples and pears, as well as Federweißer (new wine), onion cake, chestnuts, autumn decorations, and crafts. Regional producers from the Samtgemeinde Velpke use the event to present their autumn produce.

Family Programme

Sunday is family-oriented. A carousel, bouncy castle, face painting, games, and child-friendly catering make the day a family outing. A stage programme for children is also usually planned.

Organised by an Event Association

The organiser is the municipality of Danndorf in cooperation with the local event association (clubs, fire brigade, shooting club, sports club). The majority of those involved work on a voluntary basis — an effort that keeps Danndorf's village life vibrant.

End of Autumn Celebration

The Herbstzauber also marks the social end of the outdoor season. If you want to keep a date free in Danndorf in late summer, this is the place to be.
