The Cuxhaven Winter Magic takes place in Kurpark Cuxhaven, one of the most beautiful recreational areas in Cuxhaven's beach landscape. In close proximity to the North Sea beach and the large wellness hotels, the market attracts guests from all over the region and beyond. The special atmosphere arises from the interplay between the spa park's idyll, the clear sea air, and the festive lighting.
Stalls, Food, and Drinks
As befits a North German Christmas market, mulled wine, hot apple punch, and eggnog are a must. The stalls offer bratwurst, crêpes, shrovetide cakes, roasted almonds, candy apples, and smoked fish. Arts and crafts, Christmas decorations, and gift ideas also find their place.
Long Duration and Year's End
A special feature of the Cuxhaven Winter Magic is its unusually long duration: while most German Christmas markets close around December 23rd, the market in Kurpark Döse runs until after New Year's. This makes it one of the few markets that provides a festive atmosphere even between the holidays and on New Year's Eve – a clear advantage for wellness and spa holidaymakers visiting Cuxhaven during this time.

Santa Claus traditionally pays a visit to the market.

By car via the A27 (Cuxhaven exit). By train to Cuxhaven main station, then by bus or taxi to Döse. Parking available in the immediate vicinity.

Opening Hours
Usually daily in the late afternoon until 9–10 PM. Shortened opening hours on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. Current times at nordseeheilbad-cuxhaven.de.
