The Concerts at Fedderwardersiel Harbour are among the most distinctive concert series on the Lower Saxony North Sea coast. Unlike in concert halls or ballrooms, the music takes place here amidst an active crab cutter harbour — with boats at the quay, the cries of seagulls, and the wind over the North Sea as a natural backdrop. The 2026 season runs from Sunday, April 6th to Sunday, October 18th, 2026, with weekly concerts from 11 am to 1 pm.

Opening with Shantychor Butjenter Blinkfüer

The season kicks off on April 6th, 2026, with the Shantychor Butjenter Blinkfüer — the local choir embodies the maritime identity of the region like few others, with songs about fishing, shipping, and coastal life.

Sunday Brunch Concert Concept

The concert timing from 11 am to 1 pm is deliberate: tourists and locals can spend their Sunday morning at the harbour, enjoy a crab roll from the snack stand, have a coffee, and listen to the music. The mix of maritime harbour atmosphere, live music, and family-friendliness makes the series a unique program point for North Sea holidaymakers.

Diverse Programme

Over the approximately 28 concert dates of the season, various ensembles will perform: choirs, Big Band Bremerhaven, regional tribute bands, acoustic bands, brass groups, and more. The spectrum ranges from sea shanties to swing and jazz, up to pop and rock cover sets. A curated mix that offers a new musical experience every Sunday.

Free Admission

Admission is free — all concerts are without charge. Food and drinks can be purchased at the harbour snack stands on site. The organizer is Tourismus-Service Butjadingen (TSB).
