The District's Largest Family Festival

For years, the City-Kinderfest Königs Wusterhausen has been the largest family festival in the Dahme-Spreewald district. Up to 50 exhibitors — clubs, social institutions, sports clubs, educational institutions, artists — present their offerings on an interactive area of around 20,000 m². In 2026, the festival will move to the Stadion der Freundschaft behind the Paul-Dinter-Halle at Cottbuser Straße 38 for the first time.

Program for Children Aged 2 to 14

The City-Kinderfest consistently focuses on participation rather than spectating. Bouncy castles, climbing towers, Bobby car races, craft stands, face painting, sports stations, dance workshops, readings, a large stage program, and a pirate adventure world — the spectrum covers all age groups from toddlers to teenagers. Parents and grandparents will find seating areas, food trucks, and information stands.

A New Venue in 2026

With the move to the Stadion der Freundschaft, the City-Kinderfest is taking a big step in 2026: for the first time, the event will take place at a central sports facility in the city — with better infrastructure, more space, and direct access to the Paul-Dinter-Halle as a bad-weather backup. The festival runs from 10 AM to 3 PM.

Königs Wusterhausen is located in the Dahme-Spreewald district, southeast of Berlin. The city has around 38,000 inhabitants and is an important residential, transport, and administrative hub — as well as the gateway to the Spreewald. The historic Königs Wusterhausen train station, once a city landmark due to its radio facilities, is still visible today. Those who want to extend their family outing will find many natural destinations in the Spreewald.
