The Christmas market at Falkenstein Castle Ruins near Falkenstein in the Donnersberg district is one of the most atmospheric castle Christmas events in Northern Palatinate. In the remains of the medieval castle walls, in a unique elevated position above the Northern Palatinate landscape, the Falkenstein Local Heritage Association transforms the ruins into a special Christmas market on one Advent weekend.
In 2026, the market will run on the weekend of December 12th and 13th (3rd Advent). Saturday 2 PM-8 PM, Sunday 10 AM-6 PM. Jewellery, ornaments, ceramics, toys, and wood crafts will be offered. Falkenstein Local Heritage Association
The Falkenstein Local Heritage Association is the organizer of the event and has been organizing the castle Christmas market for many years.
