The name says it all: Several large, safely managed bonfires characterize the market area. They provide warmth, give the market its atmosphere, and are the center of an evening show program with fire jugglers and pyrotechnics. The concept sets the market apart from classic Christmas markets and emphasizes the connection to the wintry nature of the Palatinate Forest.

50 Exhibitors in Two Heated Tents

In two large, heated marquees, around 50 exhibitors present their products: handicrafts made of wood, ceramics, jewelry, textiles, regional specialties, Advent decorations, and small gifts. The heating makes the market independent of the weather and allows for relaxed browsing even in winter temperatures.

Musical Supporting Program

A musical program is scheduled for all three days: brass ensembles, choirs, solo artists, school, and children's choirs perform Christmas pieces. The musical spectrum ranges from classical Advent songs to modern arrangements and instrumental accompaniment. The highlight of many performances is the later evening, when the fire appears particularly intense in the glow of the lights.

Palatinate Delights and Family Program

The food and drink offerings include classic Christmas market specialties—mulled wine, punch, bratwurst, chestnuts, roasted almonds—and regional Palatinate specialties like Saumagen, Leberknödel, and Flammkuchen. For children, there are special activities, frequent visits from St. Nicholas, craft workshops, and a carousel. This makes the market a worthwhile Advent experience for families too.
