Porta³ - Christian Steiffen „Ich komme!“ Open Air

Christian Steiffen is one of the most dazzling and original figures in German entertainment music. The Bremen-born artist has built a loyal fan base with his self-ironic Schlager songs, a distinctive stage outfit, and a mix of humor, winks, and serious pop craftsmanship. Hits like „God of Schlager“ or „Wenn die Liebe nicht wär'“ have earned him appearances on TV shows and renowned stages.

The artist brings his current program „Ich komme!“ to Trier on June 19, 2026. The venue is the forecourt of the Porta Nigra – the black gate, a landmark of Trier for almost 2000 years and part of the UNESCO World Heritage. The imposing Roman architecture provides a spectacular backdrop for the artist's tongue-in-cheek Schlager show.

The concert is part of the Porta³ Festival 2026, which the Theater Trier is organizing around the Porta Nigra from June 18 to 21. The festival brings together concerts of various genres: Techno (MEUTE on June 18), Schlager (Christian Steiffen on June 19), Jazz (Till Brönner on June 20), and Classical (Picnic Concert on June 21). In doing so, the Theater Trier demonstrates how different musical languages can meet against the same ancient backdrop.

Organized in cooperation with Popp Concerts, admission is expected to start around 7 PM, with the concert beginning at 8 PM. Tickets are available at poppconcerts.de. Early booking is advisable if there is a large turnout.
