Civic Festival with Volunteer Tradition

The Celler Stadtfest is more than just an ordinary city festival – it is a living civic festival, based on the energy and commitment of its helpers. Over 300 volunteers ensure that the two festival days run smoothly and admission remains free for everyone every year.

Three Stages for the Regional Scene

On two days, three stages in the city center will be used. The focus is on local bands, who find a large audience right on their doorstep here. The stylistic spectrum is broad:

• Rock and Pop
• Hip-Hop
• Drum & Bass
• Singer/songwriters and smaller acoustic sets
• Cover and tribute bands

City Center as Festival Grounds

Central areas of Celle's city center are used – especially around the Celler Schloss (Celle Castle) and in the historic Altstadt (Old Town) with its magnificent half-timbered houses. The mix of medieval architecture, open gastronomy, and live music makes the festival particularly appealing.

Free Admission, Financed by Sponsors

Admission to the Stadtfest is free. The festival is financed through sponsors, stall fees, and volunteer work – a model that has kept the Stadtfest viable for many years and is often cited as an example for other cities.
