With Jan Delay & Disko No. 1, one of the most versatile and influential artists in German pop music will perform in the Celle Castle Courtyard on Saturday evening. Since his days with the Hamburg crew "Absolute Beginner", Jan Delay has carved out his own unique position – with solo albums that oscillate between reggae, soul, funk, and hip-hop.

"Best of 25 Years +2"

2026 is a jubilee year for the artist: With the tour "Best of 25 Years +2", he celebrates 25 years of his solo career (plus two years of delay due to the pandemic). The setlist includes the greatest hits from his albums "Searching for the Jan Soul Rebels", "Mercedes-Dance", "Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Soul", "Hammer & Michel", "Earth, Wind & Feuer", and "Forever Jan". His live ensemble Disko No. 1 has been one of the best live bands in the German-speaking world for years – with a horn section, a powerful rhythm section, and a soulful sound.
