The Bürgerscheibe and the Dorfpokalschießen of the "Vaterland" Gross Giesen shooting club form a multi-part competition in June, in which club members and invited citizens can compete. Over four evenings in June 2026 – on the 9th, 12th, 16th, and 19th – the "Vaterland" Gross Giesen shooting club will host the Bürgerscheibe and Dorfpokalschießen. Club members and invited citizens will meet at the Schützenhaus, take their positions at the shooting ranges, and then gather for a convivial evening. On the last date, the winners of the Bürgerscheibe and Dorfpokal will be honored. An event that combines shooting tradition with vibrant village life.

Spread Over Several Evenings

The division into four dates is part of the concept: those who are unable to attend on one evening have the opportunity to participate in the competition on another. This allows the club to ensure broad participation.
