About Bürgerkönigsschießen Nienstädt

On Tuesday, May 5, 2026, the Nienstädt Shooting Association invites you to the festive proclamation of the new Bürgerkönig (Citizen King). The actual Bürgerkönigsschießen takes place in the two weeks prior to this date at the club's own shooting range. On the shooting evenings, members of the Nienstädt municipality compete in several classes to determine the new Majesties: Schützenkönig (Shooting King), Damenkönigin (Ladies' Queen), as well as youth and veteran kings. In 2026, the Majesties are already determined: Lian Timpe became Youth King, Maike Lütkebohmert Youth Queen, Nils Lütkebohmert Shooting King, and Michael Wallis Veteran King. The official proclamation will take place on May 5th in the Schützenheim (Shooting Club House) and is the social highlight of the club year.

Nienstädt Shooting Association

The Nienstädt Shooting Association represents the shooters of the Nienstädt municipality in the Schaumburg district and unites several local clubs under one roof. The annual Bürgerkönigsschießen is a central club event and has been maintained for decades.

Shooting Weeks Before the Proclamation

Approximately two weeks before the proclamation date, the actual shooting competitions take place. On the shooting evenings in the Schützenheim, members compete with air rifles and small-bore rifles in several disciplines. The best scores in the respective classes decide the new Majesties.

Majesties 2026 Determined

For the club year 2026, the dignitaries have already been determined: Lian Timpe takes over the office of Youth King, Maike Lütkebohmert that of Youth Queen. Nils Lütkebohmert will be the new Shooting King, Michael Wallis the Veteran King. The connection of several family names in a royal succession reflects the close club structure and the intergenerational bond.

Proclamation on May 5, 2026

The festive proclamation takes place on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at the Schützenheim Nienstädt. The new Majesties receive sashes and crowns, are entered into the club register, and represent the Shooting Association until the next king is chosen. A ceremonial speech, honors for long-standing members, and a social evening with live music round off the event.
