Town Festival in the Heart of the Gäuboden

The Bürgerfest Geiselhöring is one of the central summer festivals in the town of Geiselhöring in the district of Straubing-Bogen. The town, clubs, and businesses jointly host an open festival weekend on the historic market square – with a stage program, catering, market stalls, and entertainment for children. Program and Atmosphere

The town closes the market square to traffic for the weekend, dedicating it to the clubs: showmen, club stalls, a main stage with live music, dance, and traditional demonstrations, a dedicated children's area with games, a bouncy castle, and a face-painting station, as well as catering stands from local restaurateurs are part of the classic image of the festival. The Bürgerfest is opened on Saturday afternoon, with the main evening programs running on Saturday and Sunday.

Geiselhöring is a small, traditional town in the southern district of Straubing-Bogen, about 15 km west of Straubing and near the Danube. It was historically a market town in the Gäuboden and is today an important agricultural center.
