One Castle, One Club, One Citizens' Festival
Oebisfelde-Weferlingen is located in the far north of the Börde district (state of Sachsen-Anhalt), on the border with Lower Saxony, characterized by the medieval moated castle Burg Oebisfelde. Once a year, the Oebisfelder Vereinsstammtisch transforms the castle courtyards and the castle museum into a festival arena. The Bürgerfest is more than just an event – it is the annual self-affirmation of a town's club landscape.
Here you'll experience a special mix: sports and games (target shooting, wall shooting, tower stair race in several age groups), the museum and castle are open, children can look forward to a bouncy castle, giant soap bubbles, a wheel of fortune, face painting, and craft activities. Clubs, schools, and kindergartens present themselves, local companies like Oebisfelder Synostik GmbH bring surprise elements. The evening highlight: Bürgersingen (citizens' singing) at 7 p.m., led by the men's choir, with shared songs for the whole town.
