Summer Festival on the Alpsee in the Oberallgäu
Bühl am Alpsee is a district of the town of Immenstadt im Allgäu in the Oberallgäu district. On the shores of the Großer Alpsee, one of Bavaria's largest natural lakes, the Musikkapelle Bühl am Alpsee e.V. annually celebrates the Bühler Seenachtsfest – a atmospheric summer festival with music, catering, and a spectacular fireworks display.
Fireworks of Sound over the Lake
The centerpiece of the festival is the fireworks display of sound: luminous figures in the night sky and a brilliant fireworks display are fired in sync with rousing music. The reflection in the water of the Großer Alpsee and the mountain backdrop of the Oberallgäu lend the spectacle a special effect. The festival begins in the early evening with music and catering on the lake shore.

Allgäu Festival Tradition
The Seenachtsfest is firmly anchored in the festival calendar of the Oberallgäu and traditionally attracts numerous visitors to the Großer Alpsee on the last Saturday in July. As a festival organized by volunteers from the local music band, it combines club life, Allgäu hospitality, and the unique natural scenery between the lake and the mountains.
Seenachtsfest Bühl — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Bühler Seenachtsfest will take place on Saturday, July 25, 2026 – the last Saturday in July – on the shores of the Großer Alpsee in Bühl (Immenstadt im Allgäu). From the early evening (from approx. 6:00 PM), the Musikkapelle Bühl am Alpsee e.V. and the catering will provide atmosphere on the lake shore. The highlight will be the fireworks of sound: luminous figures in the night sky and a brilliant fireworks display synchronized to rousing music, reflected in the Großer Alpsee.

Getting There
Bühl am Alpsee belongs to Immenstadt im Allgäu in the Oberallgäu district. Arrive via the A7/B19 towards Immenstadt. A free shuttle bus runs hourly between the Immenstadt bus station and the festival grounds during the festival (approx. 6:00 PM–2:00 AM).
Admission
From 8:00 PM, admission is 10 Euros for persons aged 16 and over, 5 Euros for youths aged 11 to 15, and free for children up to 10 years old.
