Volksfest in the Spa Park

The Brunnenfest owes its name to the healing springs that made Bad Breisig a spa town. It has been celebrated for decades as the town's central Volksfest on the extended weekend around Ascension Day. The spa park directly on the Rhine offers the natural festival backdrop: wide meadows, old trees, water features, and proximity to the riverbank.

Crowning of the Fountain Queen

The Fountain Queen represents Bad Breisig for a two-year term. On Thursday, May 14, 2026, Elisa Kindler will be ceremonially crowned Fountain Queen 2026/28 at 11:30 AM. The Bad Breisig Business Association publicly presented the office in April; the crowning ceremony has been one of the emotional highlights of the festival for years.

Music and Illuminations

Over the four festival days, live bands, cover bands, and acoustic acts perform on several stages in the spa park. Evening illuminations bathe the paths, water surfaces, and treetops in colorful light. This combination of music, water, light, and park gives the Brunnenfest its unmistakable character.

Family Program and Tradition

A dense family program with carousels, interactive stations, and children's activities ensures that the Brunnenfest remains a cross-generational event.
