Four-day wine festival in the Nussbaumallee with music clubs, party and dance bands, vintner dance groups, and a large wine bar
The Nussbaumallee is one of the most beautiful festival backdrops in the Moselle event calendar: a tree-lined avenue on the banks of the Moselle, which transforms into a long festival ground with a stage, wine bar, and seating for festival days. The tall trees provide shade during the day and create an almost romantic atmosphere in the evening with fairy lights in their crowns.
The musical program is a special feature of the Brauneberg Wine Festival: Over four days, music clubs (with classical brass music and marches), party and dance bands (with cover hits, Schlager, and current music), and vintner dance groups take turns. The dance groups consist of young women from vintner families who present short choreographic performances in uniform traditional costumes – a village custom that imbues the festival with local identity.
A central wine bar serves Brauneberg vintners' wines by the glass. Riesling from the Juffer-Sonnenuhr vineyard is the focus, complemented by Müller-Thurgau, Weißburgunder, Spätburgunder, Sekt, and specialties. Unlike at winery festivals, the wine service is concentrated at a central point here, allowing for quick and easy tasting of wines from multiple vintners.
The wine offerings are accompanied by a rich selection of regional dishes: Flammkuchen, Bratwurst, Schiefertaler ham, cheese platters, French fries, salads, and sweet specialties. The atmosphere is classically village-like and convivial, with a mixed audience of locals, regular visitors, and day-trippers from the region.
The 2026 edition continues the proven concept. Over four days, a dense program structure ensures constant entertainment, and the central wine bar allows for easy tasting of wines from multiple Brauneberg vintners.
The performances by the vintner dance groups are a special highlight of local custom, connecting the festival with its local identity.
The exact 2026 program will be published by the organizer in spring/summer. The structure follows the proven cornerstones of previous years:
Brauneberg is located on the B 53 federal road. Train connections are available via Wittlich or Trier with a bus connection.
Admission to the festival grounds is free. Wine, food, and drinks are paid for on-site.
