Sustainable Mobility in the City Center — A Combined Double Expo

The Bergisch Gladbach Cycling & E-Mobility Expo is a combined double expo for modern, sustainable mobility. Organized by BECOM Events throughout the pedestrian zone between Konrad-Adenauer-Platz and RheinBerg Galerie, it covers two central themes of the transport transition: electric mobility (cars, hybrids, scooters) and bicycles (classic and e-bikes). From April 18 to 19, 2026, the city center will become a mobility showroom.

The Two Expos — Different Days

E-Mobility Expo — Saturday and Sunday

The E-Mobility Show runs on both days, from 10 AM to 6 PM. Regional car dealerships will present their latest models — from plug-in hybrids and fully electric vehicles to e-scooters. All displayed vehicles are either hybrid or fully electric. Test drives are available — those planning to switch to an e-car can compare several models directly here.

Cycling Expo — Sunday Only

The Cycling Expo takes place exclusively on Sunday (10 AM - 6 PM) and focuses on:

• Pedelecs and E-bikes for the daily commute
• Leisure bikes for weekend trips into the Bergisches Land region
• Cargo bikes for families and delivery services
• Classic bikes of all categories
• Accessories — helmets, lights, locks, clothing

Local bike shops and national brands will be exhibiting; test rides are possible.

Information Stands — Explaining the Mobility of the Future

Several important mobility providers and initiatives will have information stands:

• WUPSI — Verkehrsbetriebe Wupper-Sieg, Bergisches public transport service
• RVK — Regionalverkehr Köln (bus company)
• VRS — Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Sieg, ticket and fare system
• ADFC — Allgemeiner Deutscher Fahrrad-Club (German Cyclists' Federation), advice on cycling infrastructure
• Police and Traffic Safety Organizations — accident prevention, safety tips

Here, citizens can learn about alternative mobility options and ask specific questions.

Children's Program

To ensure the youngest visitors have fun, there is a children's program:

• Bungee trampoline — safe high-jumping fun
• Carousel — a classic family highlight
• Balance bike course for the smallest road users

A successful combination — parents can learn about e-cars and new bikes while the children burn off energy.

Sunday Shopping — A Bonus

On Sunday, April 19, 2026, there will be a parallel Sunday shopping event in Bergisch Gladbach's city center (1:00 PM to 6:00 PM). So, visitors to the expo can combine their day with a stroll through town — the shops around the RheinBerg Galerie will open their doors.
