Large regional market on March 14 and 15, 2026 – Car show, crafts, street food, funfair, and Sunday shopping in the Eifel Centre Bitburg.
The Beda-Markt Bitburg is the large regional spring market of the city of Bitburg in the Eifel district of Bitburg-Prüm and one of the most significant event dates in the southern Eifel. The name refers to the Haus Beda, a cultural center with a garden located in the city center, which is itself named after Saint Bede the Venerable – and at the same time, it points to the traditional character of the market as the Beda-Markt in Bitburg's event calendar.
The Beda-Markt explicitly sees itself as a "showcase of the region": For two days, Bitburg businesses and dealers from the Eifel district present their offerings. The focus is on the car show by local dealerships featuring current models in the city center, a large crafts fair with regional artisans and craft businesses, a diverse street food selection with international and regional specialties, as well as the "Lebensart" lifestyle fair.
The official opening takes place on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 10 a.m. by the mayor of the city of Bitburg. Afterwards, the streets fill with visitors from the entire Eifel district, the adjacent Belgian and Luxembourg border regions, and the wider area.
The Beda-Kirmes (funfair) takes place parallel to the Beda-Markt – a classic amusement park with rides, carousels, shooting galleries, and candy stalls. The Kirmes is operated by Sonnier Schaustellerbetriebe. The Kirmes is open on Friday afternoons and on weekends, providing additional fun, especially for families.
The Beda-Markt is organized by the Gewerbeverein Bitburg, the association of Bitburg retailers and service businesses. The Gewerbeverein is also responsible for other well-known city center events such as the Bitburg Christmas Market, the Gäßestrepperfest, and the Bitburg Farmers' Market.
The Beda-Markt 2026 uses the second weekend in March for its major regional showcase. With the opening on Saturday at 10 a.m. and the Sunday shopping, it offers an ideal stage for Bitburg's retailers and regional exhibitors.
The exact program for 2026 will be published by the Gewerbeverein Bitburg in February. The structure will follow the proven cornerstones of previous years.
Current program details will be announced on bitburg.de and gewerbeverein-bitburg.de.
