The 20th Bautz'ner Senfwochen 2025 — a jubilee year — once again offered mustard creations in numerous Bautzen restaurants. From Sorbian specialties to mustard cocktails and mustard desserts, the themed festival brought the famous Bautz'ner mustard into the most unusual culinary combinations.
20th Edition 2025 — Jubilee Year
In August 2025, the Bautz'ner Senfwochen celebrated their 20th edition. For over 4 weeks, Bautzen restaurants transformed into culinary mustard laboratories — featuring Sorbian mustard variations, spicy steaks, flavorful roasts, mustard cocktails, and mustard pralines.
Like every year since 2006, the festival celebrated the Bautzen mustard identity — a trademark of the East Saxon city since 1866 and a piece of Saxon identity on many breakfast tables.
