Advent Magic on the Baltic Sea
The Bansin Christmas Market is one of two small, regional Advent markets in the Kaiserbäder on the island of Usedom. Unlike the big city Christmas markets, Bansin focuses on regional authenticity and manageable size. The venue is the beach promenade around the historic concert pavilion with a direct view of the winter Baltic Sea.
Gifts of Amber and Driftwood
The range of market traders follows the concept "from here, for here":
- Amber jewelry – a classic of the Baltic coast
- Jewelry made from sea glass: pieces of glass collected on the beach, smoothed by the sea
- Sustainable wooden products: cutting boards, toys, sculptures
- Knitwear and textiles from regional manufacturers
- Organic products from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
Culinary Delights and Hot Drinks
The market also remains regional in terms of food:
- Regional game meat from the forests of Vorpommern
- Hot drinks (mulled wine, punch, hot chocolate)
- Island spirits and regional distilleries
- Vegetarian options and sweet treats
Christmas Post and Stage Program
A special feature is the Christmas Post Office: children can drop off their wish lists here, which Santa Claus will personally pick up on Sunday. The stage alternates between puppet shows, interactive children's shows, blues and pop concerts. The market is located in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district and is part of the municipality of Ostseebad Heringsdorf.
