Since 1977, the Bad Zwischenahner Woche has been a firm fixture in the Ammerland summer calendar — and with its five days and nights, it's one of the largest folk and city festivals in the region between Bremen and East Frisia. The venue is the Kurpark and the Promenade around the Zwischenahner Meer.

The 2026 edition is the 49th edition of the Bad Zwischenahner Woche and runs from Wednesday, August 12, to Sunday, August 16, 2026. The opening hours are generous:
- Wednesday, August 12: 6 PM to 1 AM
- Thursday, August 13: 2 PM to 2 AM
- Friday, August 14: 2 PM to 3 AM
- Saturday, August 15: 11 AM to 3 AM
- Sunday, August 16: 11 AM to 11 PM
Program and Atmosphere
Expect several stages with live bands, cover acts, and DJ sets — from pop and rock to Schlager and electronic sounds in the late hours. A Kirmes (funfair) area with carousels, rides, and game stalls complements the program; food stands, cocktail bars, and café areas line the promenade. A family program and children's activities are available during the day at designated spots.

Getting There
Kurpark and Promenade Bad Zwischenahn. Via the A 28 (Zwischenahn exit). Bad Zwischenahn train station is within walking distance. Parking is available around the Kurpark — travel by bike or train is recommended.

Free admission. Costs apply for rides and food.
Tip
Wednesday and Thursday are quieter and more family-friendly, while Friday and Saturday offer the full festival atmosphere with extended opening hours until 3 AM.
