Orchard Meadow as Festival Backdrop
An orchard meadow has been newly established in recent years behind the rectory in Nordstemmen. In the medium term, it is intended to contribute to the supply of local fruit and also serves as an ecologically valuable habitat. The Apple Festival makes this meadow an experience: here, the apple is celebrated – not just as a product, but as a symbol of the connection between creation, agriculture, and community.
Mobile Cider Press and Culinary Stations
The highlight is the mobile cider press: visitors can bring their own apples and have them pressed into fresh juice on-site. In addition, there are potato pancakes (Reibekuchen) with apple sauce, coffee, cake, and autumn specialties. A children's carousel is available for kids, complemented by craft and hands-on stations centered around the apple.
Nordstemmen and the Stiftung St. Johannis
Nordstemmen is located in the north of the Hildesheim district, on the Hanover–Göttingen railway line. The Stiftung St. Johannis is an important diaconal and cultural player in the town and hosts numerous events around the Kirchbrink.
