The MSC Alzey – A Motorsport Club with Tradition

The Motorsportclub (MSC) Alzey is one of the oldest and most active motorsport clubs in Rheinhessen. With a mix of classic motorsport disciplines, touring events, and vintage car care, it offers its members and interested parties a diverse program. The Classic Event is a relatively new format in the MSC calendar and has established itself as a fixture since its first edition in 2023. The 4th edition is scheduled for 2026.

What Happens at the Classic Event?

The program of a typical Classic Event includes several elements. Firstly, the exhibition: Participating vehicle owners display their vintage and modern classic cars in a central location, sorted by era, make, or vehicle category. Visitors can view the vehicles at their leisure and chat with the owners. There is also usually a guided tour – a trip through the Rheinhessen landscape, with stops at special viewpoints, refreshment spots, or points of interest. Catering and social gatherings round off the program.

Alzey as the Venue

Alzey is the district town of the Alzey-Worms district and one of the characteristic small towns of Rheinhessen. With its historic old town center, Schlossplatz (Castle Square), and central location in Rheinhessen, it offers an attractive setting for a classic car event. The exact venue within Alzey will be published by the MSC in the spring – central squares in the city center or specially reserved areas on the outskirts are common.

The Classic Event is aimed at active vintage car owners (for participation), but also at interested visitors who want to admire historic vehicles. Admission is usually free or low-cost; the spectacle of polished paintwork, gleaming chrome bumpers, and nostalgic design forms is worth every visit.
