Four days of festival tent, rides, and Spalter beer on the festival grounds at the Old Train Station
The Allersberger Kirchweih is a classic Middle Franconian folk festival, revolving around the patronage of the parish church of St. Andreas in Allersberg. For four days, the festival grounds at the Old Train Station on Bahnhofstraße fill with rides, shooting galleries, carousels, and a festival tent. The Kerwa is embedded in Franconian customs: a parade on Friday, a school run on Saturday, a political brunch on Sunday, and a children's parade on Monday form the classic framework.
For the 2026 Kirchweih, the market town of Allersberg has gained a new festival host family: Siblings Nadine and Bastian Schuhmann from Upper Franconia are taking over the festival tent. The tent will be equipped with a covered beer garden and an alpine hut bar. Beer from the Spalt brewery will be served, complemented by Franconian specialties. This continues a long tradition where the Kerwa is closely linked to the hop-growing region of Spalt through its beer.
The music program of the Allersberger Kirchweih traditionally ranges from Bavarian party music and Schlager to cabaret. In 2026, the program includes the party band Members, the band Klostergold, the cabaret artist Helmut Schleich (Sunday brunch, free admission), the Rothsee Musikanten, and a Mallorca afternoon with DJ Marci, singer Breitner, and acts Milla Pink and Mika One. Thus, the festival tent caters to both tradition-conscious regular guests and a young party audience.
Allersberg is a market town with around 8,000 inhabitants in the Roth district, located south of Nuremberg on the A9 motorway. The historic market settlement was once a stronghold of the Tucher and wire-drawing industry and is now on the edge of the Franconian Lake District. During the Kirchweih, guests travel from the entire greater Nuremberg area, Hallertau, and the Franconian Jura. On Sunday, there is also an open shopping Sunday in Allersberg's town center.
The Allersberger Kirchweih 2026 runs from Friday, July 24th to Monday, July 27th, on the festival grounds at the Old Train Station on Bahnhofstraße. The market town of Allersberg is the organizer, with the First Mayor traditionally holding the patronage.
New for the 2026 edition is the festival host family: Siblings Nadine and Bastian Schuhmann from Upper Franconia are taking over the festival tent with a covered beer garden and an alpine hut bar.
