Festival on the Field

The name says it all: The Ackerfest Open Air actually takes place on a cultivated field on the southern outskirts of Schöppenstedt. This unusual location, the consistency with which the festival is organized by volunteers, and the uncompromising program line between Punk, Ska, Rock, and Punkrock have earned Ackerfest a loyal following since its inception – extending beyond the Wolfenbüttel district into the entire Lower Saxony subculture scene.

Ackerfezt e.V. as the Organizer

Behind the festival is the Ackerfezt e.V. association, whose members organize the entire festival on a voluntary basis – from booking and setup to catering and awareness, through to dismantling and recultivating the field. This DIY attitude is not just a means to an end, but part of the festival's political and cultural identity.

Program 2026 – 17 Bands

For 2026, 17 bands are scheduled to perform. Confirmed highlights:

• Drei Meter Feldweg – German-language punk rock with cult status
• Ignite – Melodic hardcore with international reach
• Rambo Ramon – energetic punk
• The Pinpricks – Garage/punk rock
• First time: a band from the USA
• Other acts from the German-speaking punk, ska, and rock underground

Camping and Festival Atmosphere

There is a camping area on the field and adjacent grounds, allowing for overnight stays on-site. The atmosphere is familiarly rough, with solidarity in interactions – a typical example of German DIY festival culture. Food, an awareness team, and sanitary facilities are provided by association members.

Ticket prices start at €25 – a price that reflects the purely voluntary structure and the simultaneously demanding booking. Tickets are available via the festival website and relevant ticket outlets.
