About Palzemer WeinSommer
The Palzemer WeinSommer is the summer addition to the established Palzemer Kellertage (May 2026) and will take place on June 20th and 21st, 2026, on the village square of Palzem. The format is intentionally relaxed and accessible: Palzem vintners will be serving their wines directly under the open sky, complemented by regional specialties, live music, and an unadulterated view over the Obermosel landscape.
A distinct program item is the wine hike on Saturday, June 20th, starting at 6 PM. It leads through the vineyards above Palzem and stops at several points where vintners present their wines and explain the geology and cultivation of the respective site. The evening time of day creates a special play of light over the Obermosel, making the hike an atmospheric experience.
Palzem is located on the Obermosel in the Trier-Saarburg district, directly opposite the Luxembourgish bank of the Moselle. The Obermosel, with its specialty Elbling – one of the oldest grape varieties in Central Europe – offers a distinct wine profile alongside the Mittel- and Niedermosel and is known for its fresh, light wines. Riesling, Pinot varieties, and experimental cuvées are also cultivated.
The WeinSommer is family-friendly and has no admission fee for the general festival area. Wine and food are paid for directly at the stands. Detailed program items and the exact route of the wine hike will be published in early summer on palzemer-kellertage.de.

In good weather, early arrival is recommended, especially for the evening wine hike on Saturday.

The exact 2026 program will be published by the organizer in early summer. The structure follows the proven key points of previous years:
- Sat. June 20th from 6 PM: Wine hike through the Palzem vineyards with tasting stations; serving at the village square in parallel and afterwards.
- Sat. evening: Festival atmosphere at the village square with live music or DJ.
- Sun. June 21st: Family day, morning pint, serving of Palzem wines and regional specialties under the open sky.
- Wines: Elbling (Obermosel specialty), Riesling, Pinot varieties, cuvées.
- Gastronomy: Regional specialties of the Obermosel.
- Atmosphere: Familial, relaxed, open-air character.
