Market, Music, and After-Work Atmosphere

Since its introduction in 2018, the Abendmarkt at Domvorplatz has become a regular fixture in Osnabrück's summer calendar. The concept combines a classic weekly market with the relaxed character of an after-work meeting point: visitors shop for regional specialties and stay to linger — beer in hand, live music in their ears, the cathedral backdrop behind them.

All dates are from 4 to 8 PM. The market takes place in all weather conditions — with awnings providing shelter in the rain.

Live Music by Osnabrück Artists

A small stage will feature Osnabrück solo artists or duos on each market day. Genres will vary — singer-songwriters, jazz, folk, acoustic pop. The music is intended as accompanying entertainment, not a concert: subtle in the background, without overshadowing the market atmosphere.

Atmospheric Location

The Domvorplatz, with St. Peter's Cathedral as its backdrop, is one of Osnabrück's most beautiful spots. On mild summer evenings, it creates an almost Southern European atmosphere — a market visit becomes a city experience. Residents from the city center, professionals after work, and curious guests mingle.
