Open-air nostalgia concert at the Berliner Festplatz with Oli P., Captain Jack, Rednex, and DJ Tomekk
There's a whole category of events in Germany: the 90s/2000s nostalgia concerts, which have grown rapidly since the late 2010s. The concept is simple — pack as many acts as possible onto an open-air stage, each delivering two or three hits to rock an entire stadium. The 90s/2000s Olympus at the Zentraler Festplatz Berlin has been a staple of this format for several years, attracting thousands of Berliners who grew up with Eurodance and boyband pop.
The lineup for the 2026 edition is a journey through the charts: Oli P. with his pre-Tokio Hotel generation hit "Flugzeuge im Bauch" (Planes in the Belly), Captain Jack with the Eurodance classic "Captain Jack" and more, Rednex with the inevitable "Cotton Eye Joe" and "Wish You Were Here", DJ Tomekk with his early 2000s Hip-Hop crossover tracks, Boyband Mania as a tribute show for *NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, and Take That, plus Buddy and Annemarie Eilfeld. A curated mix that delivers exactly what the audience expects: no surprises, but a setlist full of recognition value.
The venue is the Zentraler Festplatz Berlin on Kurt-Schumacher-Damm 207, in the Reinickendorf district of the borough of the same name. The grounds are Berlin's central fairground — it hosts the Berliner Frühlingsfest, the summer fair in July, the Oktoberfest Berlin, and special market events in winter. The open-air stage is spacious, the area offers space for several thousand visitors, plus catering and drink stands on site.
The 90s/2000s Olympus is not a curatorial experiment. Anyone who likes Eurodance and pop from the late 90s and early 2000s will enjoy a compact open-air show with classics that everyone can sing along to. Admission 3:00 PM, stage start 6:00 PM — for six hours, the acts will perform in rotation on the main stage until late into the Berlin summer night.
The 2026 edition continues the proven open-air nostalgia format: one evening, six hours of programming, seven acts on one stage. The Zentraler Festplatz on Kurt-Schumacher-Damm has established itself as a reliable venue for such formats — easily accessible via U6, with enough space for several thousand visitors, and catering and drink stands on site.
The lineup curates clear recognition values: boyband pop, Eurodance, Hip-Hop crossover, and chart pop from the 90s and early 2000s. No surprises, but guaranteed sing-along moments.
