70 Years Music Association Emmelshausen — Anniversary Festival and King's Ball

The Music Association Emmelshausen e.V., founded in 1956, is one of the oldest and most active music associations in the Rhein-Hunsrück district. With its own youth orchestras, a main band, and regular performances at parades, concerts, and club celebrations, it has shaped the musical life of the Hunsrück town for decades. In 2026, the association celebrates its 70th anniversary — a milestone being honored with a three-day festival.

Anniversary celebrations for clubs in Rhineland-Palatinate traditionally follow a set pattern: Opening on Friday evening with a reception and welcome for guests of honor, a gala concert with friendly orchestras and soloists, a formal ceremony (Festkommers) with honors for long-standing members, and a King's Ball on Saturday evening as the social highlight — dancing, a large big band ensemble, festive atmosphere. Sunday traditionally features a parade and a morning pint (Frühschoppen).
