135 Years of the Reichenberg Volunteer Fire Brigade

The Reichenberg Volunteer Fire Brigade in Lower Franconia is celebrating a special anniversary in 2026: 135 years since its founding. The brigade belongs to the market town of Reichenberg in the district of Würzburg, south of the Lower Franconian district capital, on the ascent to the heights of the Würzburg city forest. The brigade has been ensuring fire protection for Reichenberg and its districts since 1891.

Three Days of Anniversary Celebration

The anniversary will be celebrated from Friday, June 12th to Sunday, June 14th, 2026 at the fire station in Bahnhofstraße 57. Three days with different focuses: Friday evening bar night with DJ Peter.B, Saturday children's and family festival, Sunday traditional morning pint (Frühschoppen) and joint World Cup broadcast on a big screen.

Program for All Ages

The FFW Reichenberg promises a varied program for all age groups: food from the festival kitchen, refreshing drinks, coffee and cake in the afternoon, live music and DJ sets in the evening, games and hands-on activities for children on Saturday. The World Cup broadcast on Sunday will turn the fire station grounds into the community's shared living room.

Reichenberg in Southern Würzburg

Reichenberg, with around 3,700 inhabitants, is a market town in the district of Würzburg. Its location on the southern outskirts of Würzburg – with access to the A3 motorway and a commuter location to the Lower Franconian district capital – makes the market a residential community with a vibrant club life. The FFW is one of the oldest clubs in the community and, with its anniversary festival, shapes the social life of the summer.
