The Zweibrücker Fasenachts Freunde
The Zweibrücker Fasenachts Freunde (ZFF) are one of the most vibrant carnival clubs in the city of Zweibrücken. With around 90 active members, the club maintains its own guards, a dance group, solo dancers, and satirical performers (Büttenredner). The ZFF cultivate the Southwest German indoor carnival (Saalfastnacht) in the Palatinate style and regularly perform at events hosted by friendly clubs.
The Närrischer Abend
The "Närrischer Abend" is one of the ZFF's own events and offers club members and their guests a convivial indoor carnival evening in a familiar setting. Unlike the grand ceremonial meetings of other clubs, this event is less about representative large formats and more about an intimate atmosphere close to the members — with a stage program, dancing, and socializing.
Season Plan 2025/2026
The ZFF are organizing a rich season: The season started on November 22, 2025, with the season opening. The members' meeting took place on January 25, 2026. The Närrischer Abend on January 31, 2026, brings together the creative club work into one stage evening. Further dates of the season can be viewed at zff-zw.de.
Zweibrücken Carnival Scene
The ZFF are part of a lively Zweibrücken carnival scene, which also includes the traditional Karnevalverein Zweibrücken (KVZ) and the grand Shrove Tuesday parade on February 17, 2026. Together, the clubs passionately carry the Palatinate carnival tradition through the season.
