Thanksgiving and Palatinate Wine

The Zeiskam Wine and Pressing Festival combines two Palatinate traditions: the wine festival, where the young wines of the season are presented and served, and the Thanksgiving festival, which celebrates the end of the agricultural season. The combination of these two elements makes the festival one of the most atmospheric events in the Southern Palatinate autumn calendar.

Old Farmhouse as Festival Setting

The Old Farmhouse at Hauptstraße 40 is the festival setting. The historic farm with its barn, courtyard, and outbuildings offers an unusual and atmospheric festival environment – far from marquees and artificial settings, an authentic Palatinate farmhouse serves as the venue for four festival days. Those who taste wine here do so in a space that truly embodies the history of Palatinate viticulture.

Family Program on Sunday

Sunday is family day: the program starts at 11 AM with an extensive children's program – magician, balloon artist, hands-on activities. A cake buffet in the afternoon completes the family offerings. The combination of wine service for adults and a family program for children makes the festival a cross-generational event.

Liederkranz Choirs Zeiskam

The Liederkranz Choirs Zeiskam are one of the oldest singing associations in the region and organize the festival themselves on a voluntary basis. Their musical contribution shapes the program, and other Zeiskam associations also participate with stalls and program points.
