Youth Theatre Days Oldenburg

The Jugendtheatertage Oldenburg have been an important forum for the city's and region's young theatre scene for years. They give school and youth theatre groups the opportunity to showcase their work on a professional stage and to a broader audience.

Participating are theatre clubs from Oldenburg schools, independent youth theatre groups, and ensembles from the city's children's and youth cultural work. The plays are usually self-developed and tailored to the experience and thematic world of the young performers.

Exhalle and Other Venues

The main venue is the Exhalle of the Oldenburgisches Staatstheater, supplemented by other stages within the house. The professional theatre environment is part of the festival's message: youth theatre deserves the same stage conditions as professional theatre.
