Edition 2025 — WVV Marathon Würzburg
The 23rd edition of the WVV iWelt Marathon Würzburg was held in May 2025. As usual, the flat, asphalted course led through the Old Town along the Main in two laps, past Würzburg's landmarks. Over 5,000 runners started the Marathon, Half Marathon, Relay, and 10-km Run, accompanied by around 30 music groups.
At the WVV iWelt Marathon Würzburg 2025 (23rd edition), the fast, flat Main course once again set the tone: two laps for the marathon, one for the half marathon, plus relay, 10-km Fun Run, and children's races. Over 5,000 participants took part.
The run confirmed its reputation as a fast-time-friendly spring classic and Boston Qualifier. Around 30 music hotspots along the course and a large crowd along the Main once again turned Marathon Sunday into a city festival in Würzburg.
