Overview
The 35th edition of the Würzburg Residence Run counted nearly 9,000 runners, thus consolidating its status as the largest grassroots running event in Lower Franconia. The proven course concept – a circuit around the UNESCO World Heritage Residence – once again served as a magnet for amateur athletes, families, and school classes.
With almost 9,000 participants, the 35th edition set a new record, which was already broken a year later. On the familiar route around the Würzburg Residence, kindergarten children, schoolchildren, amateur runners, and ambitious athletes started.
The run was accompanied by a festive supporting program on Residenzplatz, which turned the sports day into a true city festival.
