Overview

The 33rd Wunstock Festival took place in September 2025, as usual, at the Burgermühlweiher festival grounds in Wunsiedel. Wunstock e.V. seamlessly continued the volunteer-run DIY concept from 1992: Punk, Hardcore, and Metal from Germany, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, and Austria, with free entry, free camping, and financing through donations.

In 2025, the Wunstock Festival once again proved that non-commercial DIY structures can work — when a dedicated community stands behind them. The roughly 50-member Wunstock e.V. organized the edition as always on a volunteer basis, from stage setup to food service.

The lineup featured bands from the German, Czech, and Swiss underground. The large tent at Burgermühlweiher provided shelter from the changeable Fichtelgebirge weather, vegan and vegetarian food was plentiful, and the festival grounds remained a cozy, accessible meeting point for a close-knit community throughout the weekend.
