Overview
As every year, the approximately 100 wooden huts of the Würzburg Christmas Market opened at the end of November 2025 in front of the late Gothic Marienkapelle. The market once again attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors from Würzburg, Lower Franconia, and the surrounding federal states of Baden-Württemberg, Hesse, and Thuringia.
Mulled wine made from Franconian wine, gingerbread, bratwurst, candle makers, potters, and handmade jewelry formed the assortment. The stage program ranged from Advent choir performances and children's fairy tales to the public Christmas carol sing-along on December 20th in the town hall courtyard. On the four Advent weekends, the Artists' Christmas Market complemented the offerings with original art and crafts. The combination of historical setting, Franconian culinary delights, and a diverse program once again confirmed the top position of the Würzburg Christmas Market among Bavarian Advent markets.
