2025 Review — 32 Years of WüRG
The WüRG Open-Air 2025 took place as is traditional in August on the Zeittunnel site. Six bands from the Bergisches Land and surrounding areas performed throughout the afternoon and evening with a mix of styles from alternative rock and reggae to hard rock tribute acts. The social concept (catering proceeds for the benefit of the Wülfrather Tafel) was maintained, as in all years since its founding in 1993.
The event remained true to its character: an authentic, small-town rock music festival of local club life, driven by the commitment of the WüRG members and supported by the main sponsor Lhoist and numerous regional businesses. The 33rd anniversary will be celebrated with special recognition in 2026.
