Overview

The 10th anniversary edition of the Wörlitz Film Days ran from August 23 to 29, 2025 — seven evenings of film in the Roman Theater on Stein Island. Opening with "Louise et la École de la Liberté", closing traditionally with "Life of Brian".

The 10th anniversary offered a classic retrospective: "Louise et la École de la Liberté" (Éric Besnard, 2023) opened on August 23. This was followed by "Maria" by Pablo Larraín, "William Tell" directed by Nick Hamm, the Vatican thriller "Conclave" by Edward Berger, "The Bonnard Sisters" (Martin Provost), and "The Count of Monte Cristo" in the 2024 French adaptation. The festive closing on August 29 was Monty Python's "Life of Brian" from 1979 – a tradition at the Wörlitz Film Days.
