This was followed by "Maria" by Pablo Larraín, "William Tell" directed by Nick Hamm, the Vatican thriller "Conclave" by Edward Berger, "The Bonnard Sisters" (Martin Provost), and "The Count of Monte Cristo" in the 2024 French adaptation. The festive closing on August 29 was Monty Python's "Life of Brian" from 1979 – a tradition at the Wörlitz Film Days.
