62nd Wolsfelder Bergrennen from May 23rd to 25th, 2026 (Whitsun weekend) – 3rd round of the German Hillclimb Championship on the 1.6 km Eifel mountain course with ~5,000 spectators.
The Wolsfelder Bergrennen is one of the oldest and most renowned hillclimb events in Germany. With its 62nd edition on the Whitsun weekend in 2026, it is a firm fixture of the national German Hillclimb Championship (Berg-DM) and attracts motorsport enthusiasts from all over Germany and neighboring countries to the Eifel region.
The race track is a 1.6 km long hillclimb course near Wolsfeld, a small municipality in the Eifelkreis Bitburg-Prüm. The winding course through the Eifel hills requires the highest level of driving skill and makes the track a technical challenge for the participating drivers. Mountain farms, tight corners, asphalt, and occasional terrain edges – this is classic hillclimb motorsport terrain.
The 62nd edition in 2026 counts as the 3rd round of the German Hillclimb Championship. This brings top drivers from the national hillclimb scene to the start – with historic racing cars, touring cars, formula cars, sports prototypes, and modern hillclimb vehicles. The diversity of vehicle classes is part of the special fascination of hillclimb racing.
Around 5,000 spectators come to the Wolsfelder Bergrennen every year. The spectator zones are signposted and offer the best viewpoints:
What makes the Wolsfelder Bergrennen charming is the typical Eifel festival atmosphere surrounding the motorsport. Draft Bitburger Pils and Schwenkbraten from the charcoal grill, volunteer helpers from local clubs, and the personal proximity to the action shape the experience. Unlike large racing events, everything here is manageable and close.
The organizers are ADAC and EMSC (Eifeler Motorsport-Club). This combination of a national motorsport organization and a local motorsport club forms the basis for professional organization and regional integration. Online registration for participants until May 3rd, 2026. Companions with a disability pass receive free admission.
The 62nd edition in 2026 is again the 3rd round of the Berg-DM and thus an important points battle in the national Hillclimb Championship. With the Whitsun weekend as the date and the established course near Wolsfeld, the race offers ideal conditions for participants and spectators.
