32nd Castle Festival 2025

On Ascension Day 2025, the Wolkenstein Castle Festival opened its gates for the 32nd time. Four days of medieval spectacle with around 40 merchants, show fights, craft demonstrations, fire magic, and a family program transformed the old town and the Renaissance castle into a medieval world.

With hurdy-gurdy music, mead from wooden cups, 'Kräuterflader' from hot stones, and suckling pig over open fires, the festival offered an authentic medieval atmosphere — and laid the foundation for the 33rd edition in 2026.
