Overview

The Sommerhausen Winzerfest on May 1st, 2025, took place as usual on May Day as a vineyard hike through the Sommerhausen vineyards. The Sommerhausen vintners opened their wine taverns and tasting stands along the hiking route; Franconian Silvaner, Müller-Thurgau, and other varieties were tasted and offered in Bocksbeutel bottles.

The 2025 edition of the May Winzerfest followed the traditional format: on May Day (May 1st, 2025), the vineyard hike started in the village center, and the Sommerhausen vintners set up their tasting stands along the vineyard sites.

As every year, the first warm spring days attracted numerous guests from Würzburg, the Würzburg district, and the wider Franconian region to Sommerhausen. The combination of hiking, Franconian wine, and medieval wine village flair makes the Sommerhausen May Winzerfest a season opener with cult status.
